氣候科學與環境永續課程
MCUT offers several dedicated courses that focus specifically on climate science, net-zero transition and environmental sustainability. For example, the Department of Environmental and Safety Engineering provides Introduction to Net-Zero Carbon Emissions, which covers global net-zero trends, the impacts of climate change, low-carbon and renewable energy technologies, carbon capture, carbon trading mechanisms, circular economy and ESG-based sustainable development strategies. The same department also offers Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Management, a course that introduces the science of greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, international climate agreements, carbon pricing, ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory methods and product carbon footprint assessment. In addition, the master’s-level course Circular Economy and Environmental Sustainability addresses water reuse, waste-to-resource technologies and zero-waste/zero-emission goals. At the general education level, courses such as Environmental Ethics and Sustainable Civilization and Humans and the Environment further strengthen students’ understanding of environmental ethics, sustainability and human–environment interactions.
