17.4.3 Education for SDGs in the wider community(2024)
MCUT continues to promote the SDGs education to the public by (1) organizing the " DIVINE TREES GARDEN Ecotour” combining environmental experience to improve the alumni’s forest conservation literacy and jointly guard the biodiversity and life on land; (2) working with the community library to organize 20 English story sharing activities, with students from Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Thailand, France, Switzerland and Taiwan forming teams to share stories about their cultures; (3) inviting local community residents to participate in the environmental education activities, promoting green procurement and 5 major eco-friendly labels, and avoiding energy-consuming products; (4) organizing arts and cultural activities at Ming Chi Art Gallery, inviting community groups and alumni to exhibitions and activities for 43 sessions; (5) promoting age-friendly campus sports, recruiting 40 seniors at the average age of 70 to participate in the health care training for 22 times over 4 months.
