17.2.2 Cross sectoral dialogue about SDGs(2024)
In 2024, (1) MCUT initiated the construction of new generation national teaching groups, compilation of teaching materials in Indonesia and Vietnam languages, and supports for parents to become cultural lecturers. 348 schools have already asked it for the teaching materials. (2) It worked with local libraries to hold 20 English storytelling sessions, focused on gender equality (SDG 5), helped students practice English and promoted exchange between school and local community. (3) It, jointly with local cultural NGOs/associations, planned to reshape Sanxia Old Street, promoted indigo dyeing experience, cultural communities, cooperatives and neighborliness, and urged the community development. (4) It allied governments and NGOs to hold an environmental sustainability forum on Tamsui River basin and environmental education, and agreed on waste disposal on Luzhou River embankment. (5) It organized 3 international seminars and 5 domestic seminars for sustainable development.
