All new buildings of MCUT are constructed on brownfield land. A portion of the school’s 16-hectare campus originally donated by Nan Ya Plastics was brownfield. So far, the Innovation Building has been constructed on part of the existing brownfield land. Further, MCUT has begun construction of the R&D building on the brownfield land since 2024 and is expected to complete the construction in 2027. The project implements the concept of green building, enhances energy conservation, water conservation, low carbon emissions and resource recycling, and emphasizes landscape design and rainwater recycling. The building will be an important base for promoting the industry–academia collaboration and supporting the future development of MCUT.
