3.3.6 Smoke-free policy(2024)
In response to the government’s initiative of a smoke-free campus, MCUT promulgated the smoke-free campus policy in February 2023 and revised its Tobacco Hazards Prevention Measures in May 2023. Any store on the campus is prohibited from selling various tobacco products. MCUT is also dedicated to promoting a smoke-free (including e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products) campus and counseling on quitting. Students are also encouraged to attend the smoking cessation courses and any of them who attend the full courses will be awarded a commendation. In 2024, a total of 36 people attended the courses.
