17.2.1 Relationships with NGOs and government for SDG policy(2024)

In 2024, MCUT promoted the sustainability policy which included (1) the faculty assuming relevant functions in NGOs and government agencies to jointly formulate and promote policies for sustainability goals, with 862 person-times of involvement; (2) continuing to promote the “Talent and Technology Cultivation Base for the Energy and Battery Industry” to train the talents required by the green energy and battery industries; (3) working with NGOs to conduct river patrols to reduce the density from 156 bags to 72.5 bags/km, i.e. the reduction by more than 50%, where the results achieved for the main channel of the Tamsui River were considered the most significant; (4) reshaping the culture of Sanxia Old Street, and promoting dialogue and co-existence between culture and economy through indigo dyeing experience and exploration of cultures; (5) participating in the New Taipei City Government's energy conservation policy, implementing green procurement and promoting the SDG action plan.
