MCUT fully implements waste management. It has implemented the ISO 14001 management system and formulated the Environmental Protection and Safety and Health Policy to fulfill the commitment to sustainable development. MCUT holds the Green University Promotion Committee meetings regularly to track the status of waste disposal. In 2024, general waste totaled 299.7 metric tons, of which 77.7 metric tons (25.9%) were recycled and 222 metric tons (74.1%) were incinerated. To further reduce waste, MCUT has promoted recycling and reuse activities since 2022 and organized two second-hand bazaars each year. In 2024, 550 second-hand items were successfully recycled, demonstrating the results of its proactive action for resource recycling and waste reduction.
