MCUT’s policy for plastic reduction follows Article 21 of the Waste Disposal Act of the Ministry of Environment. MCUT implements plastic reduction management through the school’s environmental protection and safety and health policy under an ISO 14001 management system. The two canteens and stores of MCUT are prohibited from providing disposable eating utensils to customers, eat in or to go. Through organizing campus garbage reduction activities and seminars on recyclables, MCUT implements a campus plastic reduction policy. By doing so, the faculty, staff, and students are able to reduce the use of plastics on their own initiative in daily life.
