MCUT has entrusted the “Procurement Department of the Administrative Division, Formosa Plastics Group” to purchase eco-friendly products per the green procurement criteria and purchased products with eco-friendly/energy-saving labels provided on the websites of the Ministry of Environment of the Executive Yuan and the Bureau of Energy. It also purchases energy efficient supplies per the Procurement Measure for Government Incentives and Subsidies. Its catering contract specifies that the contractor must comply with the ethical sourcing policy. It also formulates the “Food Management Procedures” to supervise the food supply and the catering contract. Based on the principle of labor rights, MCUT asks the supply chain and contractors to ensure workers’ occupational safety and health, avoid coercion or exploitation, provide fair working hours and remuneration, and respect the association and grievance mechanisms. The 2024 audit results meet the relevant requirements.
