11.4.2 Promote sustainable commuting(2024)

In order to achieve the net-zero target by 2050, MCUT promotes the measures to reduce carbon emissions by (1) setting up a shared bike station (YouBike) in school as a short-distance shuttle to the public transportation means, MRT and bus; (2) working with iRent to provide the shared cars (4 cars) with pay in campus to reduce the use of private vehicles; (3) installing charging stations for EVs and motorcycles and adopting the priority parking spaces for EVs to encourage the utilization of low-carbon vehicles; (4) the name of MCUT is added to the platform board at Taoyuan Airport MRT A6 and YouBike or bus can be used to get to the school; (5) promoting the principle for carpooling as the first priority and provide the carpooling services to reduce the proportion of single riders for business trips; (6) update on the information related to commuting on MCUT’s official website (including the information on transfer and free shuttle services) to improve the sustainable commuting modes.
