8.2.5 Employment practice equivalent rights outsourcing(2024)

MCUT’s outsourced staff are entitled to the same labor rights as its employees. In addition to complying with the government’s “Labor Standards Act,” which is also specified in the contract entered into with the contractor, MCUT also implements measures for gender discrimination, sexual harassment prevention and gender equality in employment. The outsourced personnel include (1) security guards; (2) gardeners; (3) cleaners; (4) kitchen staff; and (5) dormitory administrators; relevant rights are explicitly set forth in the respective outsourcing contract. To ensure the quality of service of outsourced personnel and to spark their motivation, incentives are clearly set forth in the contract, encouraging the employers of the personnel to reward them.
