8.2.1 Employment practice living wage(2024)
MCUT is committed to improving the wages of employees, including (1) increasing salaries by nearly 3%, and adjusting contract workers’ minimum wage from TWD 26,400 to TWD 27,470 in 2024; (2) in December 2024, the average wage of MCUT’s faculty and staff was TWD 73,169, higher than the average monthly expenditure of TWD 27,557 per person in 2024 announced by DGBAS and 2.7 times that of the average monthly expenditure per person of New Taipei City; (3) wages are paid on the 5th day every month and those who have been working for MCUT for more than one year will be given at least 1.5 bonus months as a year-end bonus; and (4) those who have been working for MCUT for more than three months will be given gift vouchers on the three major festivals and birthdays; all employees are invited to the end-of-year party at which prizes or gift vouchers will be given out.
