7.4.5 Assistance to low-carbon innovation(2024)
MCUT supports a low-carbon economy and technologies, including (1) working with the government to guide 8 factories in a neighboring industrial park to develop toward low-carbon and intellectualization, including high-level management’s engagement, departmental division of labor, employee training, carbon emission inventory and diagnosis, development of a carbon reduction roadmap and transfer of computational skills to cultivate the enterprise’s net-zero energy; (2) having Sonice derived from MCUT partner with the Smart Carrier Center to deploy smart chargers, solicit orders from Formosa Smart Energy, implement the management platform and App on campus and build a charging service ecosystem to realize the green energy transformation and smart campus results; (3) having the Green Energy Center dedicated to engaging in the sustainable industry–academia collaboration project with enterprises and complete 7 projects valuing TWD26.4 million in total, i.e. the per capita amount, TWD130,000.
