7.2.6 Divestment policy(2024)

In order to eliminate carbon-intensive energy, MCUT has invested (1) approximately TWD127 million in the energy battery training base with the liquid and solid lithium-ion battery production class to simulate actual manufacturing processes to train more than 400 talents each year; (2) approximately TWD170 million in the Intelligent Carrier Startup Accelerator to engage in developing domestic commercial EVs by large-size enterprises with small- and medium-size enterprises; (3) investing TWD48 million to develop the 2nd-phase solar PV project (estimated installation capacity of 560 kWp); (4) installing 40’ storage cabinets (storage capacity 2,100 kWh); (5) spending TWD9.1 million in constructing the intelligent microgrid system to form an island-mode power system isolated from the utility power supply; (6) working with spin-offs on the installation of smart chargers and green application programs to be a model for green energy transformation and smart campus.
