Since September 2023, MCUT has implemented the energy monitoring system, and also installed 150 new smart meters (235 meters have been installed so far) in 2024, in order to instantly monitor the electricity consumption by various buildings. Each month, MCUT publishes the electricity consumption of each building online. MCUT also discloses and follows up on its electricity consumption at the green university meeting to report the buildings with the highest electricity consumption and plan the corrective action plan. It also regularly organizes lectures for new recruits and experiential camps for freshmen to train their energy conservation habits. The energy monitoring system and smart meter planning are highly recognized by the Ministry of Education. MCUT is also invited to provide the special topic presentation at the national dean of general affairs meeting accordingly.
