7.2.2 Upgrade buildings to higher energy efficienc(2024)
In order to improve energy performance, in 2024, MCUT (1) implemented ISO 50001 and received the certification; (2) served as a demonstration site for net-zero emissions by constructing the four-in-one intelligent microgrid system integrating “solar power, energy storage, charger and EMS” functions; (3) continued to implement ISO 14001 environmental management system to regularly collect and track electricity and water consumption for the relevant units to formulate control measures; (4) installed the new 200 kWh energy storage unit which has accumulated the energy totaling 2,300 kWh so far; (5) installed 30 kWp solar panels on the pedestrian overpass, and an additional 548.6 kWp solar panels in 2025; and (6) installed 150 new smart meters, and has already installed 235 smart meters so far.
