7.Rankings

1.  The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings

     For the world’s best university rankings in 2022, MCUT was ranked the 1st among private universities of science and technology, and the 20th among universities in Taiwan.

     For the world’s best university rankings in 2023, MCUT was ranked the 1st among the private universities of science and technology, and the 18th among universities in Taiwan.

     For the world’s income of university-industry collaboration in 2023, MCUT was ranked the 348th among universities in the world, with a brilliant performance in university-industry collaboration.

2.  The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings assessing the World Universities against the SDGs

     In 2022 MCUT was ranked 201st-300th (tied with National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Taipei University of Technology, and National Chung Cheng University) among the universities worldwide in the single indicator of “SDG7’s affordable, reliable energy”, and was ranked the 1st among private universities of science and technology in Taiwan.

     In 2023, MCUT applied for certification of 7 indicators.

     With research and development (R&D) specialty of our Institutional Research Center, MCUT applied for 3 indicators based on research performance: SDG3’s health and well-being, SDG7’s affordable, reliable energy, as well as SDG12’s responsible consumption and production.

    With talent cultivation specialty in our departments and institutes, MCUT applied for 3 indicators based on the number of courses offered: SDG8’s decent work and economic growth, SDG9’s industrialization, innovation and infrastructure construction, and SDG11’s sustainable cities and human settlements.

    With our characteristic of intensive international cooperation, MCUT applied for a common indicator: SDG17’s partnerships for the goals.

3.  UI GreenMetric World University Ranking

     Participating in the ranking from 2016 to 2022, MCUT was ranked from 233rd to 307th, with the spot of MCUT climbing each year.
