The Indigenous Student Resource Center of Ming Chi University of Technology organized the 113th Academic Year Intercollegiate Indigenous Students' Year-End Thanksgiving and Christmas Exchange Event on December 23, 2024. This event aimed to promote Indigenous education for all, enhance awareness and respect for different ethnic groups on campus, and foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.

Co-hosted with Chang Gung University of Science and Technology and Chien Hsin University of Science and Technology, the event attracted over a hundred Indigenous students to celebrate the New Year together. The program combined Christmas festivities with cultural learning, featuring a variety of activities, including traditional Indigenous music and dance performances, interactive competitions, and a Thanksgiving evening gathering. These activities allowed students to strengthen their cultural identity and teamwork in a joyful atmosphere.

The evening gathering unfolded in a warm and heartfelt setting, where students showcased their cultural heritage through song and dance performances. Through expressions of gratitude, they reflected on their personal growth and achievements over the past year. The event concluded with a collective choir performance of hymns, offering blessings for the coming year.

This event not only fostered friendship and interaction among students but also strengthened connections between student leaders and members of Indigenous student organizations. Participants overwhelmingly expressed that they had gained valuable experiences and were inspired to continue learning and preserving their cultural heritage. They also regarded this gathering as the best way to welcome the New Year.

Moving forward, more intercollegiate activities will be organized to enhance interaction and collaboration among Indigenous student communities, deepen cultural learning and identity, and cultivate a stronger sense of cultural confidence among students.

Looking ahead, the Indigenous Student Resource Center plans to continue promoting indigenous cultural activities, dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of indigenous cultures. This commitment aims to provide indigenous students with a better learning environment and opportunities for future development.
